This is a native C + Python implementation, so it is not easy to integrate into Rust. Is it faster than the Rust version?

If this is only to get a small improvement in decompression performance, I do not think it is necessary. We can disable wreq’s automatic decompression and decode the response manually.

Compression: ~3–6× faster
Decompression: ~2–4× faster

So it's worth to inject ISAL library to do this work instead standard way for it
