Automatic DNS suffix

If I ping my-pc in DOS cmd, it automatically adds my local domain suffix.

If I use NETworkManager's DNS Lookup, it also adds my local domain suffix.

However Port Scanner and IP Scanner require me to type entire FQDN's.

I have gone through all the settings but are unable to find a configurable option to add the domain suffix to these tools. Can this be added please?

The DNS Lookup is using it's own dns resolver in the background with a setting for this.

All other tools share a dns resolver that is configured under Settings > Network. I think it should be possible to add the same options:

• Add DNS suffix (primary) to hostname
• Use Custom DNS suffix

I need to verify this, but it should be possible to extend this.

Hmm, under Settings...Network, I have enabled 'Use custom DNS server', and added our own internal DNS server. But if I then go to 'Ping Monitor', or 'Port Scanner' or 'IP Scanner' (for instance) and try to query against 'db4' (a hostname on our internal network), it fails, unless I use a FQDN.
The same behaviour with 'Use custom DNS server' disabled.
