Cursor gradually becomes out of sync with video during longer recordings

Description

When recording videos longer than approximately 5 minutes, the cursor gradually becomes out of sync with the video.

At the beginning of the recording, the cursor position and movements are synchronized correctly. However, as the recording continues, the cursor starts to drift from the actual video. The longer the recording is, the more noticeable the desynchronization becomes.

Reproduction

• Record the screen for more than 5 minutes.
• Play back the recording and observe the cursor behavior.
• Notice that the cursor gradually becomes out of sync with the video.

Hey @Gimanh, thanks for reporting this. Could you share:

• Your Cap desktop logs from ~/Library/Logs/so.cap.desktop for a recording where this happens.
• A zipped copy of an example .cap recording that reproduces the cursor drift, if possible.
• Your exact macOS version and display setup (built-in/external display, resolution, and refresh rate).
• Whether the cursor is out of sync in the editor, the exported video, or both.

If the recording or logs contain anything sensitive, let us know and we can figure out a private way for you to share them. This should help us reproduce the issue and track down where the timing starts to drift.
