Exploratory findings: investigations into options, prior art, and open questions, kept for the reasoning as much as the answer.

Conventions

• One file per investigation: <question>.md, named for the question it explored.
• Record what was examined, what was found, and what is still unknown.
• Research is an input, not a source of truth — conclusions that hold get distilled into ../design/ or ../decisions/.

When to read

Before investigating a question someone may already have explored.
