Section: Curating with Git #6

@srerickson

Description

@srerickson

The primer should provide a concise description of git/github-based workflows that curators might want to use. We don't need to reinvent the wheel, though. There are plenty of guides for using git and github; the value is in identifying tasks that curators may want to perform and providing resources that facilitate that work.

Some workflows that come to mind:

  • Tracking a local curation project with git in order to identify recommended changes
  • Curating a project that is managed on GitHub: practices for forking, updating and submitting pull requests.
