Option to block different domain new tabs.

If website tries to automatically open new tab that has different ui than itself. By automatically i mean when its not user clicked open in new tab, user still couldve click something on website. Its a common behavior for ad banners, you click x button or play button, and it opens new page with different domain.
But i think its important to manage that per website, not globally. Like website permission level setting. Because if for example we search in google and we have set up so our search results open in new page it will be the same behavior.

That would be a great use case for a extension, have you looked if something like that already exists on the extension store? Websites do request to load tabs in new tabs usually for a reason. Having a setting built into the browser will lead to a lot of issues.

However what would work is adding a new long press option to explicitly load a link in the current tab, next to the new tab option.

You could have setting in website permission menu, with options like ask, allow or block, with ask being default. Then you could once and for all allow for websites you know for sure that its useful, like google opening search result in new tab. When you revisit google browser will remember your setting. But qs a background protection when you browsing random unknows websites it will be statistically good for big amount of users.

Currently in stable browser has some type of popup promt, that fires sometimes, very unreliably and unpredictably, claiming that link goes away from website, but its clearly stays in same domain, doesnt open any app or other domain website. Like a youtube main page configured to open clicks in new tab. While real away links isnt catched. I nevet paid attention to that message because its very very rare, like once or twice in a month. Its not a false external app message, because external app message doesnt have cancel option. External app message allows only open link in an app or in browser. While message i am reffering to has allow and cancel options. You cancel, click original link again, and that message doesnt appear anymore. So its buggy.

So my suggestion aims to replace that behavior with more clear one, that can be seen and configured by user.
