We are excited to share a major preview of what is coming in the upcoming KryonOS v2.0.0 release!
Microcontrollers have evolved rapidly, and KryonOS is taking a massive leap forward to transform your ESP32 / ESP32-S3 into a high-performance embedded computing platform and graphical powerhouse. In this next major release, we are natively introducing two new core engines: Kryon3D and FastMath.
⚡ 1. The FastMath DSP Engine (
FastMath)High-precision trigonometry and floating-point computations have traditionally been a performance bottleneck on low-power runtimes. In v2.0.0, we are adding the FastMath Engine a hardware-optimized math execution layer exposed directly to JavaScript:
FastMath.sin(),FastMath.cos(), matrix transformations, and 3D vector arithmetic.🎮 2. The Kryon3D Real-Time Rendering Engine (
Kryon3D)We are bringing dedicated, hardware-accelerated retro 3D graphics directly to bare-metal microcontroller displays!
The Kryon3D Rendering Engine introduces a full rasterization pipeline managed directly from JavaScript:
🛠️ What Else Is In the Works for v2.0.0?
System.*), math (FastMath.*), and graphics (Kryon3D.*).📅 Roadmap & Availability
KryonOS v2.0.0 is currently undergoing internal testing and driver validation on ESP32-S3 hardware test benches. Pre-compiled binaries, hardware wiring guides, and interactive starter apps will be released as soon as final validation concludes.
