Issue with 1.8 using m1 Mac

Not really an issue, but following the instructions didn't work. To fix, I

1. renamed the Manifest file so it would regenerate.
2. commented out the [compat] section, so it would use the default versions

Then redid the Pkg.activate/Pkg.instantiate.

Everything is working well so far.

Most dependencies are not tested with 1.8 yet.

So, use it at your own risk 😝
