Minor platform release v5.2.0 now available on MAAP Hub

Hello MAAP Users,

A minor platform release v5.2.0 is now available on https://hub.maap-project.org/. To use the new features, start a new v5.2.0 workspace. You can request access to our new platform the Hub by registering for an account here https://hub.maap-project.org/. More documentation about the Hub here. Support for the current ADE (Eclipse Che) will be sunsetted in the near future. Please migrate to using the new MAAP Hub.

Updates to images in this release:
R image:

• Added rclone and enabled sharded repodata for faster resolve times
• Base image is ghcr.io/nmfs-opensci/container-images/py-rocket-geospatial-2:2026.01.25 and code base is here

Isce3 image:

• Added rclone and enabled sharded repodata for faster resolve times
• Updated packages including isce3 to v0.25.8. You can see updated package versions here.
• Base image is pangeo/base-notebook:2026.01.30 and code base is here

Pangeo image:

• Added rclone and enabled sharded repodata for faster resolve times
• General package updates
• Base image is public.ecr.aws/nasa-veda/pangeo-notebook-veda-image:2025.06.04-v1 and code base is here

TensorFlow2 GPU image with MAAP extensions, request access for this image

• Updated to Pangeo 2026.06.04

PyTorch GPU image with MAAP extensions, request access for this image

• Updated to Pangeo 2026.06.04

If you would like to keep using the previous image release (v5.1.0), select Environment “Other…” then paste the image url from the version you would like. You can find available images here.
