[BUG] App crashes when performing a search

• I have searched the issue tracker for open and closed issues that are similar to the feature request I want to file, without success.
• I'm on the latest version.
• I'm not using a test build (alpha/beta/release-candidate).
• This issue contains only one bug.

Describe the bug

1. Open the app.
   ​2. Tap on the search icon.
2. ​Enter a search term.
3. ​The app crashes and closes abruptly.

Please note that this issue seems to occur only on Samsung devices, as it was not observed on another Android device yet.

Expected Behavior

The application should perform the search and show the results corresponding to the query without crashing.

I observed the same in Xiaomi Devices.
Identical crashes when opening search/searching for apps obserserved on:

• Poco X5 5g (moonstone)
• Xiaomi Pad 6

This issue can be temporarily mitigated by, turning off 'Index V2'.
But turning it off causes another different error where --- 'Fdroid Archive' repo fails to load index.

So its like a back & forth loop....
