Overlays Meeting (2025-11-18) #211

I missed the last call (got times confused), but I do plan to make this next one to talk about this. I want to publish overlays+openapi to our API consumers to describe the changeset as the well defined scope of the features we deliver. While I recognize that there are some challenges to enable consumers to interpret this data (openapi+overlays), I do believe that we can solve these by providing better tools and conventions. For a topic, I want to hear from the community how we are thinking about these overlay documents in the dialog with spec interactions: Human written vs computed, distributed vs baked-in, etc. I'm also feeling out the tooling appetite for feature centric overlays - is this contrary to any of our mission/purpose statements? While it seems natural to me, I understand there's some hesitation with connecting the dots from spec to overlays. |
