• Should we release at this point? We've been iterating for the last 2 months, and assuming the two PRs above get merged, the milestone will be completed.

I'd like to share an update for how we're pioneering using overlays for feature development. We've made some great progress over the last month.

We also discussed a release strategy and agreed that what has already been accepted into 1.x is valuable and we will work towards a 1.1 regardless of whether any other features (such as the parameters proposal) arrive in time. A 1.2 release can be made at any time when things are added. @baywet will put together some release notes and @lornajane will figure out a release process.

Also just as an FYI, I just created a PR to the schema store so IDEs recognize overlay documents. SchemaStore/schemastore#5234
