Upload failed message despite being successfull

I have added a Xiao 7.5'' display running the 1.30 firmware to HA. I use the drawcustom method. Sending the data works and the display is also refreshed. But the following message appears everytime:

I have upgraded to the beta version and now then upload fails completely. My payload is rather large, maybe that makes a difference?
