Description

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Threadloom 2026 Roadmap

Welcome to the Threadloom Roadmap! We are building a full-stack Rust framework for web, desktop, and Android. Our goal is to provide a reactive signal graph and a seamless developer experience without a virtual DOM.

We've made great progress, but there's a lot more to do! Here's where we are heading. If you want to contribute, find an area you're passionate about and drop a comment!

๐Ÿ—๏ธ Core Architecture

  • Stabilize the reactive signal graph for larger applications.
  • Improve DOM patching performance in threadloom-dom.
  • Expand the context stack to support more advanced dependency injection.

๐ŸŽจ UI Components (threadloom-ui)

  • Add more complex layout components (e.g., Drawer, Toast, Carousel).
  • Improve accessibility (a11y) defaults for all built-in components.
  • Better theming API (extending beyond the current oklch design tokens).

๐Ÿ“ฑ Platforms

  • Android (threadloom-android): Stabilize dev mode hot-reloading on physical devices.
  • Desktop (threadloom-desktop): Add more native IPC handlers (tray icons, native menus).

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Developer Experience (distaff CLI)

  • Enhance hot-reload to be even faster and preserve more state.
  • Built-in deployment commands (e.g., distaff build --vercel stabilization).
