@HolgerPollyNet suggested to have the cases from the EC Validation Paper as tests for picassopy.
Those would be:
|
|
|
| Mindelo (CPV) |
1 June 2025 0240 - 0335 UTC |
Marine up to 1km Dust 1.8 - 5km, Patchy Cirrus ~14km |
| Dushanbe (TJK) |
2 Sep 2024 2000 - 2130 UTC |
Dust up to 5km |
| Leipzig (arielle, but LACROS available as well) |
25 June 2025 2345 - 26 June 0031 UTC |
Dusty mix up to 5km |
| Leipzig (arielle) |
4 July 2025 2355 - 5 July 0040 UTC |
Continental + smoke up to 3km, Cirrus at 12km |
| Meteor (ARI) |
26 Jan 2025 0430 - 0440 UTC |
Cirrus at 15km |
| Meteor (ARI) |
6 Feb 2025 1522 - 1544 UTC |
Smoke-Dust mix up to 3km |
| Invercargill (LACROS2) |
24 Oct 2025 1500 - 1600 UTC |
Marine up to 2km |
The two Leipzig cases, which are averaged from two days might be tricky for now, but I guess we can just average from 0000 UTC for now.
Plus the comparison cases we already included:
|
|
|
| Mindelo (CPV) |
8 Aug 2024 |
|
| Dushanbe (TJK) |
23 Aug 2025 |

@HavardStridBuholdt what format you would need the data of the manual analysis is compatible with your plotting routines, plain labview output?
@HolgerPollyNet The cases from Leipzig are also done with arielle?
