Doesn't look like PLR has a cell sorter category yet (checked open/closed issues + PRs, didn't find one). Could be useful for plate-based single-cell sequencing workflows, where a sort into a plate is often the one step that has to happen off-automation.
I have a BD FACSMelody (with the plate-sort module) to try this against, and I've started on the tooling to drive it: capture ingest, action↔byte correlation, framing/checksum decode, guarded replay. It's early and hasn't been run against the instrument yet, but the scaffolding and target command set are here: FACSMelody RE toolkit (draft).
Mostly wondering if anyone's already looking at sorter support, or whether there'd be interest in a cytometry/sort machine category. Happy to compare notes.
