Welcome, and thanks for checking out Slash.
Slash is an AI-native, private-by-default web browser. It runs for you, on your machine, where nothing leaves and anyone can check. No account, no telemetry, no cloud sync. The assistant can actually act on the web (search, read pages, open tabs), on your own AI key or a free local CLI, and everything personal stays on your device, encrypted at rest.
Get started
git clone, npm install, npm start. See the README and CONTRIBUTING.Where things go
What is in 1.0
Tabs (pinned, suspended, restored, private), a full search-engine system (custom engines + one-click "add this site"), a built-in AI panel, the privacy layer (ad/tracker blocking, HTTPS-only, encrypted DNS, per-site permissions, encrypted keys/passwords/store, clear-data), move-in from another browser (bookmarks, history, sessions, passwords), a built-in password manager, and your profile as just your computer account.
On the roadmap
Honest about what is next:
If a browser that works for you instead of watching you sounds good, dig in. Issues, ideas, and pull requests all welcome.
