This folder diagnoses present systems and the stories that make them appear inevitable. It examines power through ownership, rent, enclosure, surveillance, assetization, infrastructure, access, space, ideology, and the unequal ability to define what counts as realistic.
Analysis is not the final layer. It should produce clearer causal questions, expose uncertainty, and point toward systems research, historical evidence, practical alternatives, and futures.

Use this folder to:
- diagnose how present systems function;
- reconstruct the historical sequence behind arrangements described as natural;
- map ownership, veto power, dependency, enforcement, and hidden labor;
- identify who benefits, who bears costs, and who remains statistically or politically invisible;
- distinguish deliberate design from emergent system behavior;
- examine how physical and digital infrastructure stabilizes power;
- trace the enclosure of digital, social, spatial, ecological, and knowledge commons;
- identify alternatives that were suppressed, abandoned, or prevented from scaling;
- connect diagnosis to practical and speculative alternatives without pretending one critique yields one inevitable solution.
A useful system diagnosis asks:

WHAT ALTERNATIVES EXISTED OR EXIST NOW?
WHY DID THEY FAIL, remain local, OR GET SUPPRESSED?
WHAT EVIDENCE SUPPORTS THE ACCOUNT?
WHAT COMPETING EXPLANATIONS REMAIN?
WHAT COULD CHANGE THE SYSTEM?
WHAT NEW RISKS WOULD THAT CHANGE CREATE?
Documents in this folder vary in maturity. Treat a strong interpretation as an argument, not as self-validating proof.
Useful labels for future revisions:
- OBSERVED — directly documented event, structure, or measurement;
- SUPPORTED — interpretation backed by substantial evidence;
- HYPOTHESIS — proposed causal explanation requiring more work;
- INTERPRETATION — political, historical, or philosophical reading;
- NORMATIVE — judgment about what should change;
- METAPHOR — conceptual aid whose limits must be named;
- OPEN — unresolved question or disagreement.
Source placeholders should be replaced with actual sources rather than left as decorative footnotes. Claims should include enough provenance for another person to verify or challenge them.
