Install on a webhost without Composer

Hi. I found this workaround, but it's from 2017 : https://github.com/Textalk/websocket-php/issues/45
It don't work. The file 'ws/Base.php' is not in the current /lib.
I tried without 'Base.php' and got this error:

PHP Fatal error: Trait "Psr\Log\LoggerAwareTrait" not found in /home/kalendersystem/public_html/texttalk/ws/Client.php on line 25

I need to use the client and get some data from 'wss://[658608ab.in.larnitech.com:8443/api]'

Does someone have a solution?

Hello,

This repo is abandoned. More recent versions of the repo is available as phrity/websocket.

It is possible to install without Composer, but it will require that you resolve and require all dependencies manually. I strongly discourage trying to do that.

My challenge with composer is that my web hosting doesn't support it.
I think I need to install WAMP-Server on my PC, run Composer and then move the files to my web hosting.

Yes, Composer should typically be run on dev or staging machine as deploy routine rather than the server running production code. It makes maintenance a lot easier.

Hi and thanks for your advice.

Now I have installed PHP 8.2 and Composer on my Windows PC.
I have managed to run: composer require phrity/websocket
After this, the following subfolders are located in the /vendor folder:

1. Composer
2. phrity
3. psr

Is the solution simply that I copy the 2 folders (/phrity, /psr) to a folder on my webhost?

But how do I include the necessary files in my php program?

Entire vendor directory should be uploaded to server. Your code should require vendor/autoload.php which will provide autoloading for all libraries handled by Composer.

Check Composer manual for more details on how it is used.
