Conversion from Proplot to Ultraplot

Before we can broadcast the new package a few things have to happen.

• The docs have be reconsidered to rename proplot to ultraplot
• The CI has to be setup an potentially streamlined to aid in development
• The package has to be made up-to-date with the latest matplotlib version (3.9.3 at the time of writing)
• I suggest we start versioning with 1.0 and continuing from there.
• publishing the package to pypi (and set pipeline to do this)
• [PENDING] publishing the package to conda (and set pipeline to do this)
  Developer has to be introduced and we need to make clear guidelines on the review and submission process.

The package will contain code that is foreign to all future development as the original developer, LukeBD is at the time of writing not involved with the development.

Exciting change, but I still cannot install from PyPi and conda-forge.

That would have been better indeed. Main is currently has the latest changes which sets it up nicely for the 1.0 release. In the future I will be a bit more organized (less lazy) to enhance tracking capabilities. When pypi gets through I will push 1.0 to conda.

Latest version is on pypi but conda-forge is bit more involved. Will read up on their docs but for now UltraPlot can be installed with pip 🥳.

The docs still contain the old logo but will fix this as it goes. Need to generate some square logos to ensure consistency.

I can help with conda-forge. Submit a pr to staged-recipes and I will review.

I put a recent change in the workflow to automate is, or does this have happen manually with their staged recipes?

You cannot push to conda-forge from a workflow here. You need to submit to stages recipes and get a feedstock made per the usual process.

Just a suggestion -> should we use:

import ultraplot as pplt

or should we now rather use:

import ultraplot as uplot

We agree that everyone should work as they see fit, but what guidelines should be followed, particularly in the documentation?

Hmm so in the end I (personally) will probably import it as plt to make it compatible with my pre-proplot/ultraplot era. However, for documentation sake I would prefer uplt -- will make changes to the docs. Thanks for pointing it out!
