problem
Hi. I want to use HA features on my zones, but I only use CEPH as primary storage.
My hypervisors uses RedFish as out-of-band management and are directly reachable from my management servers (and vice versa).
With HA enabled, I got this warning on agent logs (thousands):
2026-08-04 08:12:34,270 WARN [kvm.resource.KVMHAChecker] (pool-26029-thread-1:[]) (logid:) All checks with KVMHAChecker for host IP [10.1.0.2] in pools [] considered it as dead. It may cause a shutdown of the host.
2026-08-04 08:12:35,785 WARN [kvm.resource.KVMHAChecker] (pool-26030-thread-1:[]) (logid:) All checks with KVMHAChecker for host IP [10.1.0.1] in pools [] considered it as dead. It may cause a shutdown of the host.
Maybe I should deploy a CephFS with Ganesha NFS, set it as a primary storage with a tag that no VM uses?
My HA state becomes degraded.
versions
Cloudstack 4.22.1.0
Hypervisor: Rocky Linux 10.2
The steps to reproduce the bug
- Deploy a site with CEPH RBD as primary storage
- Configure KVMHAChecker as HA Provider
- Configure OutOfBand Management
- Enable HA on hosts
What to do about it?
