Visual artifacts in certain pathways #37

@txemaheredia

Hi,

Thank you for you tool.

I have noticed that when generating .pngs for a certain pathway (https://www.kegg.jp/pathway/hsa05206 Micro RNAs in Cancer), the resulting image shows some artifacts.

Full image:

Some details:

  • Top-left corner: some rectangles are drawn at 0,0

  • Bottom of lung cancer:

  • Bottom of HCC (also in breast cancer):

  • Bottom of Epithelial Ovarian Cancer: Note how both "blocks" have the same genes, but are drawn different. The miRNA-200 is composed by 200A, 200B, and 200C. The ZEB1 and ZEB2 blocks are just one gene each. I have data for both ZEB genes and both should be deep red.

I've re-run pathview and used data (from the same dataset) and I get the same artifacts, with different colors.

It is not a huge issue, but I wanted to report it.

Again, thank you for your tool,

Txema
