Save not working.

My issue is that I accidentally saved a blank over my main save and my Geometry Dash data is gone, I didn't use any other slots to back up, but only slot 1 and now it got wiped. Thankfully Google Driver had different versions of my backup (.dat) and managed to restore and download that, but the only problem was replacing the blank save with my main save. When I changed the name of the main save to the blank save and deleted the blank save, I tried loading my main save and GDrive said it couldn't find the file/save even though they
were in the same directory.

I'm not sure what's the mod's fault here...

Sounds like you accidentally saved over a slot and messed up restoring it, tho i do afree the revisions system is kinda confusing and im planning an update to fix that among other things

if your restored save is in the same directory with the same name i don't see why the mod couldn't recognize it... i think i need a bit more info before i can help u out

So I accidentally over wrote my save with a blank one to the same slot because I had to do a fresh install of Geometry Dash, instead of clicking load I pressed save, and it saved blank data to the slot, which I later found in my Google Drive, and so since drive keeps versions of every file, I managed to restore my good data(the one with everything in it), but when I changed the file name of the good one to the same of the blank one, the GUI in game for GDrive Backup said it could not find the file even though they were in the same directory

make sure that the file is named "save-{slot}.dat" where {slot} is theslot number you want the save to be in, and that it's under the folder "GDrive Backup/{accountID}" where accountID is your correct account ID (you can find that out by pressing the [i] info button next to your username at the top of the mod menu"

if the above doesnt work maybe try signing out then signing in the mod to reset your data (doesn't delete saves) and try again...

if it still doesn't work then you did something else wrong probably
