File: _articles/faq/scanner-not-shown-or-not-responding-in-the-browser.md
Severity: Medium
Found via a full FAQ accuracy audit for staleness/internal consistency.
Claim: "This mostly happens on Windows 7/Vista/2008 OS where high security level is applied to Internet Explorer," followed by IE-specific remedies (Trusted Sites zone, disabling Protected Mode, "Run as Administrator" for IE) with no version scoping.
Contradicting evidence: _articles/faq/use-deprecated-technology.md and _articles/info/schedule/Stable.md (v19.0 "Removed Features") both confirm ActiveX support was discontinued as of v19.0. This FAQ (last modified 2022-10-21, pre-dating that removal) presents IE/ActiveX-era troubleshooting as current guidance.
Proposed fix: Add a note scoping this guidance explicitly to legacy pre-19.0 ActiveX integrations, and point HTML5-edition users elsewhere.
