Hi! I ran into an issue while using Textream for recording a video.
While the teleprompter was running, I occasionally needed to go back a couple of sentences because I was speaking faster than the current scroll position. When I manually scrolled backwards on the Dynamic Island teleprompter, the UI sometimes started rapidly moving/vibrating between positions instead of staying where I scrolled.
I saw a similar issue reported around manual scrolling with Word Tracking enabled, but in my case Word Tracking was not enabled.
I was able to reproduce this in both:
- Voice Activated mode
- Classic mode
Expected behavior
When manually scrolling backwards, the teleprompter should temporarily stay at the position I scroll to and continue smoothly from there.
Actual behavior
After scrolling backwards, the teleprompter sometimes seems to fight against the manual scroll position, causing the text/view to rapidly jump back and forth or “vibrate”.
How to reproduce
- Open a longer script.
- Start the teleprompter in either Voice Activated or Classic mode.
- Let the script progress for a while.
- Manually scroll backwards by a few sentences on the Dynamic Island.
- In some cases, the view starts rapidly jumping/vibrating between positions.
It seems like the automatic scrolling/positioning and manual scrolling might both be trying to control the scroll position at the same time.
Environment
- MacBook Pro M5
- macOS 26.5.2
- Word Tracking: disabled
- Reproduced in Voice Activated and Classic modes
