Use typescript on this template

Hello,
I'm currently using this template as the basis for a project we are developing. We kept on working with javascript but as the project grows and grows we've decided to migrate it into typescript. I've been struggling around with its migration but I can't manage to make it work. I've seen that in some point in the "start" script you have a check for the typescript config file, so I guessed I this template already has a simple way to use typescript on it?
