Description
Since move to USP base, MTU with specific value instead of auto.
However it causes more steps need user take action compare to previous structure.
So suggest we have auto fill in on MTU let user reduce unnecessary operation.
Steps
- Menu > Advanced Setting > Internet settings
- Enable edited mode for changing connection type
- Check MTU setting when switch to different connection type
Current result
DHCP / Static change to PPPoE need change MTU since 1500(default value) over limitation 1492
Select to bridge mode(MTU shows fixed auto text) and switch to other type, MTU input becomes empty
Expected result
Remember original setting as default value(ex 1500)
If current is empty, then auto fill in default value
If default value over max then use max instead
(If possible, consider last changed value as default value,
for example, user key in 789 in MTU, then 789 which is valid becomes new default)
Information
Pinnacle 2.0 FW: 1.2.2.26062820
Linksys Now Version: 2.5.0.700525
Severity
S4
