Bug description

I suspended my PC at the end of my day. The next morning when I woke the PC it immediately unlocked without asking for my password.

Other strange behaviours that may be related:

  • When I pressed "suspend" before the above bug occured, it took quite some time before responding. After around 10 seconds I noticed I could still use the computer and then it suddenly finally suspended.
  • Often when waking my PC there is a flash of whatever was on the screen before I suspended.

I know that I can upgrade to Linux Mint 22.3 but from what I could see online about this it seems as if linux mint has had persistent issues with reliably locking for a number of years now:

If this has been patched, please could somebody link to some relevant info? I could not find anything.

Respectfully, this seems quite concerning.

I am not experienced with bug reporting, apologies in advance.

Steps to reproduce

Unfortunately I don't know how to reproduce. It happened seemingly randomly.
