I have a WisMesh MQTT Gateway that I will use as an Observer. With support added in #1983, I plan to make a custom firmware to allow it to connect directly to a MQTT broker, without needing a Raspberry pi.
I already have a rough proof-of-concept built on top of the simple_repeater firmware but I'm not sure what's the best way to publish it nor if it really fits as an official firmware as it currently supports only one specific hardware.
Any ideas or feedback?
