feat(metadata): template.toolcall as core subtype + ADR-0011
Twelve @metaobjectsdev/* TS packages bumped 0.7.0-rc.4 → 0.7.0-rc.5.
Tier 0 metadata, render
Tier 1 codegen-ts, runtime-ts, migrate-ts, sdk, runtime-web
Tier 2 codegen-ts-react, codegen-ts-tanstack, react
Tier 3 tanstack
Tier 4 cli
ADR-0011 lands as spec/decisions/ADR-0011-template-toolcall-as-core-subtype.md
with the full design rationale: tool-calling is a universal LLM concept and
belongs in core; vendor wire details (Anthropic tool_use specifics, OpenAI
function-calling shape, MCP tools, etc.) stay at the consumer-extension layer
via registry.extend.
Core implementation (TS):
- TEMPLATE_SUBTYPE_TOOLCALL added to TEMPLATE_SUBTYPES
- toolcallAttrs in template-schema.ts — three vendor-agnostic required attrs
(toolName, payloadRef, description) plus governance attrs (owner, since)
- Critically: does NOT inherit genericAttrs (no @textref requirement; the
body IS the structured output schema)
- coreTypesProvider picks it up via the existing TEMPLATE_SUBTYPES loop
- Type count bumped 69 → 70 (registry.test.ts)
Conformance corpus refactor:
- The 2 input-bearing provider-extension fixtures swap their test-only
provider from a now-superseded "toolcall" id (core ships the subtype) to
"wizards-template-briefing" (a clearly-fictional briefing template with
@author + @recipient attrs). Fixtures still exercise the registry.register
code path; cross-port adapters in TS / C# / Python all updated to match.
The 3 negative-only fixtures (cycle / missing-dep / duplicate-id) need no
change.
Test counts post-change: TS metadata 1273, sdk 108, codegen-ts 384, cli 201;
C# render 98 + conformance 363 + cli 10 + codegen 175; Python 109. All green.
Java / Kotlin: subtype rollout deferred to a follow-up. Downstream reference
consumers will migrate their project-local providers from register to extend
in follow-up commits.
