Are there any plans on integrating the OpenSSL 1.1.0 release into this fork?

Yes, this is something we want to do. There has been a lot of changes between 1.0.x and 1.1.0. Including a lot of build changes. I'm hoping to work with the OpenSSL team and do the work so that we can get this move up to the main OpenSSL repo and eventually fully supported.

Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to move forward on this yet. I should find some time soon to start looking.

No problem, I backported my code to OpenSSL 1.0.2. Was easier than expected :)
