Inconsistent default terminal shortcut (`Ctrl + ``) on Linux compared to Windows/macOS

On Windows and macOS, Visual Studio Code includes a default keybinding (`Ctrl + ``) for opening the integrated terminal, and this shortcut is also shown in the Terminal > New Terminal menu. On Linux, however, this default binding is missing and doesn't appear in the menu.

here's where that's defined, I believe this is also the case on linux. could you reset your keybinding and screenshot it in the kbs ui if not?

Hi! I followed your suggestion and checked the keybindings UI.
Here's a capture from a PC with Windows:

Ctrl + Shift + ` is correctly bound to the "Create New Terminal" command.

On Linux (I'm using Ubuntu with VSCode Snap package) the shortcut is missing entirely, I've also seen it with .deb version as well.

I tested with a clean install of VS Code, so keybindings.json does not exist.

thanks for the screenshots. if you set that keybinding manually to `Ctrl+``, does it work on linux?

Yes. It just doesn't come as a default.
