To pierwsze użycie tej bramki na prawdziwym wniosku. Powstała, bo wpis
jednolinijkowy wyszedł raz jako commit na 4417 linii — Windows przerobił końce
wierszy całego pliku, a różnicy po commicie nikt nie sprawdził.

Klon zrobiony przez git -c core.autocrlf=false clone, wstawienie bajtowe.

Qualified. Checked against their rules rather than assumed, and ready for one click.

The section fits. ## Networking currently contains telnet, curlie, sshuttle, sshfs, bandwhich, neoss, catflap — command-line tools that open or inspect network connections. zerosmtp-check opens a TCP connection to an SMTP host, completes the TLS handshake and reports what happened, sending no mail. Same shape as telnet in that list.

The line, ready to insert:

Not opened yet, and deliberately. Publishing into somebody else's repository is one of the few things this project sends to the owner rather than deciding itself.

Two things happen before the pull request, both already caught us out once:

1. tools/check-submission.py — clone with core.autocrlf=false and confirm the committed diff is one line. A Windows checkout once turned a one-line addition into 4,417 changed lines, which gets a submission rejected in seconds and looks careless.
2. Their readme is the source file, so no generator is run against it.

Why this queue slot is worth it. free-for.dev sends 20 unique visitors in 14 days. Every position this project holds in GitHub's own search sends 18 combined, flat for four days after winning five new first positions. One directory entry beats the entire search strategy — that is the measurement this is based on, not a hunch.

Correcting my own comment above: this was already submitted.

linsa-io/command-line-tools#50 — opened 2026-08-26, +1 −0 in one file, mergeable, no comments from the maintainer yet.

The comment I left an hour ago said the pull request had not been opened "and deliberately so". That was wrong. It had been open for three days. I checked the list's rules, the section fit and the duplicate count — and did not check whether we had already done the thing I was preparing to do.

This is the same failure as #291, where a contributor's merged work left its issue open: the work happened and the queue did not learn about it. There the cost was a contributor looking ignored. Here the cost was nearly a duplicate pull request into somebody else's repository, which is worse than doing nothing.

Verified while finding this out, so the submission itself stands up:

That numstat check is not ceremony: a Windows checkout once turned a one-line addition into 4,417 changed lines.

Status: waiting on the maintainer, nothing owed by us. The list merged 3 outside pull requests in the last 90 days, so it is alive. This issue stays open until #50 is merged or closed, and stops being work in our queue.
