June meeting

Last month Emir Yassi told us about the largest-ever (I think) meta-analysis on repetitive TMS studies of neurophysiological variables. The results are pretty stunning (mostly it doesn't seem to work...), but don't take my word for it - read the paper!

July meeting

In two weeks we have another Double Bill meeting:

1. 14:00 - 14:20h: New member Adam Shann will present his work on optimising TMS mapping methods for clinical studies. This talk was presented at the UK Sensorimotor Conference last week in Plymouth.

2. 14:20 - 15:00h: Discussion of how to run next month's Hackathon.

August meeting: Hackathon

If you want to attend the Hackathon, please complete the survey (Part 3) here - we have 22 people signed-up so far, 15 from the Americas and 7 from Europe. At present, we'll therefore run 3 sessions - one on EU time and two on America time. The topic will likely be EMG / MEP processing (artefacts, onsets, latency). The hackathon will include:

• GitHub training (10th August, UTC+2: 15:30-17:30 )
• Keynote from Dr Sara Hussain (11th August UTC+2: 16-17h; UTC-6: 09-10h)
• Four hackathon sessions (2x 3 hours per day, two days)

After the hackathon, we'll aim to write a paper together, reporting the new methods that we develop.
