How refreshing to see IPv6 mentioned, since IPv6 has been supported by the Raspberry Pi running Linux since 2012 when it was released.
However, that said, there is not a single python example in the book showing how to open a listening socket on IPv6 in the book. Nine years ago, I ran into this problem, and created a python-based webserver which listens to IPv4 and IPv6 requests! You can find it at:

Feel free to include it in the next edition of the book.
