Scriptella 1.6 is released

Scriptella 1.6 is now available. Java 17 remains the minimum runtime, with Scriptella 1.3 available for Java 8 compatibility.

Highlights

• Execute one UTF-8 SQL file without ETL XML using the execute-sql command or EtlExecutor.newSqlFileExecutor(...). Property substitution is enabled by default; --no-substitution preserves literal dollar and question-mark expressions.
• Use the shared, read-only ${env.*} namespace for configuration and credentials. Missing variables fail without printing their values.
• Use the sqlite adapter or canonical jdbc:sqlite: URLs for file-backed migration workflows. Xerial SQLite JDBC 3.53.4.0 is an external dependency. SQLite NUMERIC/REAL values can lose precision, so arbitrary numeric migrations are not lossless.

Downloads and installation

Get the binary, source, and examples from GitHub Releases. The experimental user-local installer now installs the published 1.6 archive:

Scriptella 1.6 is available from Maven Central. Add Core to a Maven project:

Add org.scriptella:scriptella-drivers:1.6 when using the packaged driver module. Supply vendor JDBC drivers separately.
