At the first few attempts of a German response, the German translation was clunky, syntax is often awkward, making it at times difficult to read and understand. This seems to have improved a little after a few runs of different questions in German.
Here are some examples of where the scientific language translations didn't work.
- Literal translation of scientific terminology instead of using German equivalents on some occasions, such as in response to ‘explain the greenhouse effect’ in which 'Greenhouse effect' is translated literally as ("grünes Haus Effekt" instead of "Treibhauseffekt"). Bot started using correct German terminology after a few runs of different questions.
- Correct translation of term 'greenhouse gases' but GHG acronym remains used instead of an equivalent (e.g. TGE for Treibhausgasemissionen)
- ‘Renewable energy sources’ remains untranslated in output for question ‘what are renewable energy resources’ (appears in English in the German response)

- Is the initial high awkwardness of the language in the German responses something that each German speaking user will experience until they use it for a little bit, or is it enough that I have now asked it some questions in German?
- Is there anything we can do about the mistranslated terminology that remains (points 2nd and 3rd points above)?
