This project seems to be built rather strangely, and the readme is not very clear. Although it seems you put a lot of effort into providing documentation for others the project simply will not build correctly.
Please refer to angular-fullstack for a more common and straight forward approach to setting up the project if possible :)!
Hope you get this working as a public solution for angularjs + express + mysql (or even sequalizer) is greatly needed.
