Error when used with Web API Help Page package

When using this with the Web API Help Page nuget package you will get an ActivationException

. To reproduce create a new MVC4 Web API project and add this package and the Web API Help Page package to the project. Run the project and navigate to {root}/Help and the error will be thrown.

Having the same issue, exception is:

I do have the same issue but with a different version of the assemblies.

I temporarily resolved my issue by skipping the System.Web.* assemblies.

Here is how I configure my container:

ObjectFactory.Initialize(initializationExpression => initializationExpression.Scan(assemblyScanner =>
        {
            assemblyScanner.WithDefaultConventions();
            assemblyScanner.AssembliesFromApplicationBaseDirectory(assembly => !assembly.FullName.StartsWith("System.Web"));
            assemblyScanner.LookForRegistries();
        }));

I've always the same problem even if I skipping the System.Web.* assemblies. I don't know why.

I've tried both ObjectFactory.Initialize and ObjectFactory.Configure

For information, I don't found a good solution but I deleted the second constructor of HelpController with HttpConfiguration parameter ( HelpController(HttpConfiguration config) ) and it works

I don't known it'll be still useful, but better than deleting the second constructor you can specify StructureMap to use the constructor with no argument: ObjectFactory.Configure(x => x.SelectConstructor(() => new HelpController()));
