Because the button is not present for many metrics, it seems prudent to at least mention that fact. The crosshair emoji button is also quite small and hard to find if you aren't lucky.

I'm not sure how much of this you want in the docs, but at a minimum the
Metrics Explorer — Metrics Inspectneeds slightly better mention, as the explorer generally uses the awful query builder that always buckets data.
