🚧 Nicky is a native iOS journaling app built with React Native and Expo.
- Custom Journals — Create journals with flexible field types (text, number, date, time, location, media, check)
- Daily Entries — Record entries with bookmarking and full-text search
- AI Reflection — On-device LLM generates daily reflections from journal entries at a configurable time
- Import / Export — Import journal templates and export journals or entries
- Native iOS UI — Built with SwiftUI components via
@expo/ui/swift-ui

Install dependencies
pnpm install

Start the app
pnpm expo start

Run on iOS simulator
pnpm expo run:ios
In the output, you'll find options to open the app in a
- development build
- Android emulator
- iOS simulator
- Expo Go, a limited sandbox for trying out app development with Expo
You can start developing by editing the files inside the app directory. This project uses file-based routing.
When you're ready, run:
npm run reset-projectThis command will move the starter code to the app-example directory and create a blank app directory where you can start developing.
