• Evidence:
  • The test (tests/queries/0_stateless/01606_git_import.sh) does a git clone https://github.com/ClickHouse/clickhouse-odbc.git over the network, runs the clickhouse git-import tool over the whole history, then bulk-INSERTs the resulting commits/file_changes/line_changes TSVs. It is network- and I/O-bound (the test itself is tagged no-debug, no-tsan, no-msan, no-ubsan, no-asan precisely "because inserting a 50 MB file can be slow"). It hit the hard 600s per-test timeout, which is the classic failure mode for this test when the external clone or the import is slow on the runner.
  • This PR only touches query-execution hot paths — src/Processors/Executors/{ExecutingGraph,ExecutorTasks,PipelineExecutor}.* and src/Storages/MergeTree/IMergeTreeReader.* (micro-optimizations to speed up small queries, backport of upstream 83096). None of that affects a git clone + git-import + bulk insert workload, and a change that speeds queries up would not make this test time out.
  • Single failure out of 7088 passing, with a Timeout! reason on a known network-heavy test — consistent with infra, not a regression in a narrow code path.
• Next step: safe to re-run the Stateless tests (release) job. No code change needed.

Everything else

All builds, AST fuzzers (asan/debug/ubsan), compatibility check, docker images, and the full regression matrix (functions, ldap, lightweight_delete, parquet, kafka, etc.) are green.

Health check: This backport is in good shape — the only red is an unrelated flaky timeout on 01606_git_import, a network+I/O-bound test that is independent of the executor/reader micro-optimizations this PR introduces. Re-running that one job should bring CI fully green; no changes to the PR are warranted.
