Adds an in-repo RFC 1951/1952 gzip decoder with automatic CLI format selection, concatenated-member support, checksum validation, and speculative parallel decompression.
Refactors bzip2 and gzip onto shared byte-budgeted scheduling machinery, adds differential and performance regression tests, and provides ungated process-memory benchmarking. Full SimpleWiki gzip validation is within the 1.2× rapidgzip-rust target while using slightly less physical memory.
README “Performance” and “Implementation and compatibility,” plus DEV “Architecture” and “Correctness and performance acceptance,” document the design, benchmarks, and reproduction commands.
