AxiomCode now aids an agent's grep instead of answering the same search again.

  • After a grep (hook): the note says only what grep's own lines cannot show. It tells apart matches that reach different declarations, names callers whose call never spells the name, and says who enters a declaration nothing in the code calls (a route, a schedule, a framework annotation). It is silent when grep was complete.
  • impact: code is shown only for direct places no text search reaches. Places a word grep finds are listed by location, places further than one hop are named with their function, and tests are listed without code.
  • MCP: offers impact, path and tests. find stays a shell verb. Docs, the install block and the orientation hooks now say to search with grep as usual.
  • AXIOMCODE_GREP_AID=0 restores the previous answers, and the previous note's checks run under it.

Measured on two apps' A/B tasks: answers about 70% smaller per call, with the same results (every arm found every expected file). Cost and turns did not change on these tasks.

Tests: all 1390 case checks pass; front_door, mcp, mcp_first, mcp_docs, surfaces, repo_arg, enrich_lines and hooks_from_path pass. Two multi_language checks about a stopped build differ from the base; this needs a re-check on an idle machine.

…not know; impact shows code only where no text search reaches; find leaves MCP

The hook after a grep now names, for each identifier, the declarations its matched lines reach when they differ, and the
callers whose call never spells the name; it is silent when grep was complete. impact lists the places a word grep
already finds by location only, names places further than one hop and the tests without code, and keeps the code for the
direct places grep cannot see. MCP offers impact, path and tests; find stays a shell verb. AXIOMCODE_GREP_AID=0 restores
the previous answers.

…sts cover both notes

A grep that finds only a route handler's declaration reads as dead code; the note now says the runtime or a framework
enters it, and stays silent for a plain uncalled method. The previous note's checks run under AXIOMCODE_GREP_AID=0, and
the grep-aid checks (who enters it, silence when grep was complete) run beside them.
