Add a separate offline collector for Claude Desktop responses, preserving the real desktop surface and the same closed metadata, explicit missing observations, raw UTF-8 bytes and Core diagnostics. Web/API records delegate to the historical collector and keep identical output; the original preparation module, schema and fixture packet remain unchanged.

Doctor, all 15 existing packet/scoring tests and eight new capture tests pass against the retained installed native wheel. The tests include 36 legacy positive comparisons, closed metadata mutations, null identity accounting, exact CLI output, Unicode/CRLF, truncation and invalid UTF-8. The clean proof and a bounded five-task trial proposal are linked from docs/proposals/g1-claude-desktop-initial-trial.md.

The trial remains unapproved and not ready to execute: tools-disabled state is unresolved. The visible Fable 5.1 High label is opaque; no underlying model identity is inferred. Zero provider runs, null preservation rate and no G1 pass. Root and independent technical review precede any execution question.

Changelog exemption: Offline capture validation, synthetic regression tests and trial proposal only; no Core or SDK runtime change.
