WARNING: VERSION constant duplicated from index.astro
const VERSION = '0.4.0' is also defined in website/src/pages/index.astro:106. Every release requires updating both files in lockstep; if they diverge, the home badge and install snippet will show different versions. Centralize the version in a shared module (e.g., src/lib/version.ts) and import from both pages.

SUGGESTION: Type assertion bypasses TypeScript safety
s.id as 'groovy' | 'kotlin' papers over an inference mismatch — if a future snippet adds a new id (e.g., 'maven'), this cast will silently accept an invalid language instead of erroring at the highlightCode call. Annotating snippets with SnippetLang (or typing id as 'groovy' | 'kotlin') would let TypeScript verify correctness at the boundary.

WARNING: Missing Home/End keyboard navigation in tabs
The WAI-ARIA tabs pattern recommends Home jump to the first tab and End jump to the last. Only ArrowLeft/ArrowRight are handled here, so keyboard-only users must cycle through every tab to reach the ends. Add branches for e.key === 'Home' (select tabs[0], focus) and e.key === 'End' (select tabs[tabs.length - 1], focus).

snippets.map block, preserving the existing role, aria-labelledby, and code

activation.

update it with the existing copy-status messages in both the successful
clipboard-copy path and the catch path. Extend the existing reset timer to clear
the live-region text along with resetting the button state, ensuring copy
failures are announced to assistive technology.

SUGGESTION: latestVersion() re-reads and re-parses CHANGELOG.md on every call
loadChangelog() is invoked unconditionally on each call, re-reading and re-parsing CHANGELOG.md. With both index.astro and install.astro now calling latestVersion() (and /changelog likely calling loadChangelog() directly), each page build re-parses the file independently — and SSR mode would re-parse on every request. Memoize the result at module scope (e.g. a top-level let cached: string | null = null with lazy init) so the file is read and parsed once per process.

Second round of review fixes in b40b384:
Verified: production build clean, built HTML contains |
| await navigator.clipboard.writeText((panel.textContent ?? '').trim()); | ||
| copyBtn.dataset.state = 'copied'; | ||
| copyBtn.setAttribute('aria-label', 'Copied'); | ||
| announce('Copied to clipboard'); |
There was a problem hiding this comment.
[SUGGESTION]: Polite live region won't re-announce identical text on rapid double-click
aria-live="polite" does not re-announce when textContent is set to the same string. If a user (especially a screen-reader user) clicks Copy twice within the 1.6s reset window, the second click sets the live region to "Copied to clipboard" again — but the assistive technology does not re-announce it. The visual icon does change, so the assistive feedback is lost.
The same applies to the failure announcement at line 358.
Consider clearing the live region first (e.g. announce(''); setTimeout(() => announce(msg), 50);) or otherwise varying the message so the text differs each time.
Reply with @kilocode-bot fix it to have Kilo Code address this issue.
| announceTimer = setTimeout(() => { | ||
| if (copyStatus) copyStatus.textContent = msg; | ||
| announceTimer = null; | ||
| }, 50); |
There was a problem hiding this comment.
SUGGESTION: Magic number 50 for the announce delay should be a named constant with rationale
The 50ms timeout is a magic number. The adjacent comment explains the what ("force a change first") but not the why 50ms specifically or which assistive-technology behavior motivated that duration. Some screen readers — older JAWS, mobile VoiceOver, TalkBack with reduced-motion settings — may debounce live-region updates for longer than 50ms, so the re-announce can still be silently dropped on those clients.
Consider:
- Extracting to a named constant (e.g.
const LIVE_REGION_RESET_DELAY_MS = 50;) so the value is discoverable and tunable. - Adding a comment that names the screen-reader behavior this duration is tuned for.
- Or using a more robust technique that doesn't rely on a timing race at all — e.g. appending a monotonically-increasing counter to the message so every announcement is textually distinct (the live region is
sr-only, so a counter suffix is invisible to sighted users).
Also note: the if (copyStatus) guard inside the setTimeout callback on line 344 is dead code — copyStatus is const and the outer if (!copyStatus) return; already narrows it.
