docs: RFC-014 proposes an automatic artist banner from TheAudioDB - #312
Conversation
TheAudioDB becomes a third enrichment provider, off by default and keyed by the operator, asked for fanart only. The first real fanart is fetched through the narrow fetcher, cached on metadata_artist and linked onto artist.fanart_hash with the artist event; the effective banner is the chosen one, else that fanart. RFC-013's 'no automatic banner' lines point to it. Signed-off-by: InstaZDLL <github.105mh@8shield.net>

The four fanarts are tried in order, a refused one giving way to the next; only when none is accepted is the answer a miss, and an unreachable host is unreached. A refresh that comes back a miss clears artist.fanart_hash where it still names the previous fanart, with the artist event; unreached unlinks nothing. RFC-013 decision 5 says the banner falls back to that fanart where one was found, none otherwise. Signed-off-by: InstaZDLL <github.105mh@8shield.net>
RFC-013 left one question open: an artist nobody chose a banner for has none. This RFC answers it with TheAudioDB's fanart, as the desktop does.
theaudiodbjoinsWAVEFLOW_METADATA_PROVIDERS, off by default. It needs the operator's ownWAVEFLOW_METADATA_THEAUDIODB_KEY, and the test key123is not embedded (RFC-011 decision 3). It is asked for fanart only: its biographies stay out until RFC-011's language question is settled.WAVEFLOW_METADATA_IMAGES=offleaves it unbuilt.strArtistBannerorstrArtistWideThumb, which are 1000×185 strips (WaveFlow#693). It goes through RFC-011's narrow fetcher, with an allowlist of TheAudioDB's own image hosts.metadata_artist.fanart_hashholds the cached fanart, andartist.fanart_hashgets it for every artist row with that canonical name. Linking it records the artist library event, as a portrait does. It is never a choice: hand-chosen banners stay inartist_image_choice.banner_hash, andenrichment.bannergives its provenance. Cover-art resolution serves it. The Subsonic façade gains nothing.artist.fanart_hashnames.Open questions: choosing among the four fanarts, hiding an automatic banner, TheAudioDB's biographies, and key tiers above the free ceiling.
