- Line 5945: Revise the handshake comparison in decision 9 to use an
authoritative previous resolved subject set, so a client-stated set cannot
suppress detection of removed subjects such as K. Allow the stated set only to
add resnapshot candidates; when the prior resolved set is unavailable, require a
full resync that explicitly drops existing subscription rows before rebootstrap.

This fills in R95's section of the plan so the phase can be built. A running client gets a call to add and remove share keys. A control message replaces the session's grant set, and the server swaps the principal and resends every subscription the change reaches. The resend is needed on any route, because a catch-up never shows or hides a row that did not change.
The other decisions follow from the tree and from how Convex, Zero, Supabase, Ably, PowerSync, Electric and Couchbase Lite handle the same problem. A key expires on both sides as a removal. On main today an open connection keeps a key past its exp. A change made while offline reaches the server at the next handshake, as the set the server last acknowledged. The browser keeps a signed-in client's keys in IdbKeyStore beside the replica key. Connetto adds no consistency token and writes no account rows.
The section names the five pull requests the build will take: the wire, the server, the native client, the browser and the documents.
Share keys currently take effect only at handshake, so applications cannot update access on a running client and open sessions can retain expired keys. R95 defines replacement of the session’s grant set and resends affected subscriptions, because catch-up alone cannot reveal or hide unchanged rows.
The plan also defines expiry and offline reconciliation, and stores keys for durable clients. It remains a design in progress, with seven planned pull requests and proof targets. The supplied evidence does not establish implementation or test results.
