Here is our overall roadmap for upcoming features and changes.

1.7.0: March 2020

Major features:

XML-based Cell Definition specification
Per-boundary / per-substrate Dirichlet conditions

Minor features / refinements:

Things that may break compatibility

xml2jupyter tools will need an update to support the full capability. But attribute-based specification means existing tools won't break -- just ignore the finer-grained control
xml2jupyter tools will need an update to make use of the Cell Definition specifications.

#1.7.x: April 2020

Updated MultiCellDS output (want to consolidate outputs a bit, and move it into MultiCellDS draft standard)

Things that may break compatibility

Python-loader and other tools will need an update.

1.8.0: Summer 2020

Major features:

Full support for molecular / intracellular models
