Add privacy-friendly analytics #148
Description
To help us see what’s being used, where people get stuck or see errors, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Plausible is a good option that works on GitHub Pages sites, and I implemented it on the Extract weeknotes. It was a good option because it was approved for use at MHCLG.
Similarly, Fathom is privacy-focused and works well. I’ve used it on my website for many years.
I’ll look in to what’s approved for use at NHS. I expect Matomo might be on the list, as it’s also a popular alternative to Google Analytics.

Google Analytics is approved for use and centrally managed, which is also an option.
